The inside of the tent is big, easy for a family of 4. - Sorin G. (Skycamp Canvas)

I got the iKamper as soon as I saw the Kickstarter campaign, I remember I was in airport and backed-up just before the plane took off. I ended up with #175. I got the tent a month before my son was born and since he was too small to camp the tent did not got too much activity but this weekend I had a chance to go out with my co-workers, visited Red Rock, Sequoia and Trona Pinnacles in 3 days, 2 nights so a lot of miles.

On my way there I did not install the wind deflector and it was noisy if driving higher than 50 mph, was also visible on the driving conditions. On my way back I installed the wind deflector and I was able to drive 70-85mph without much trouble. I drove about 600 miles in 3 days.

First day we spend the night in Sequoia at 6000ft, it was very cold during the night, 20F, I will not lie we were not prepared for this weather and for this you need the winter layer, hope to get one in the future, it was very cold in the tent. The 2nd night we camp at Trona with 50F, no issues at all, I slept 10 hours. The installation is not hard, just require time to screw in all 8 nuts, I hope for a better way in the future, takes 30 min now.

The setup is easy and straight forward, I did not had any issues to make or brake the tent, just as advertise. I installed on a Audi Q5 with factory cross bars which are rated at 220lbs, did not had any issues. The inside of the tent is big, easy for a family of 4. I hope in the future iKamper will make a smaller one, more compact, less weight for 2 people. Overall the tent meets all my expectations and the price is just right. I will recommend to anyone.
