Overall a great investment. Some pros to the Annex, it’s huge! Plenty of space for whatever you choose to do with it. Privacy or full window views with a breeze is a nice option too. Some cons, it’s a bit difficult to setup by yourself. Having the main RTT open in less than 60seconds is great, unfortunately the Annex takes a solid 30-40 minutes to properly setup. Due to the size, it’s hard to manage alone. No instructions, had to watch the videos while setting it up. Not enough poles included. Stakes were easily bent. For the price, they could have included some more poles. I’m glad I have it, not sure I would bust it out during quick turnaround trips. Definitely a longer stay type of addition.

Absolutely massive! The skycamp 2.0 is huge and the annex makes it look dwarfed in comparison. Super easy setup and tear down. The zippers are some of the best I’ve ever used. I only wish it came with instructions on how to fold it back up, but the storage bag is plenty large enough for quick packing up

I love the new addition. Creates a big enough space to have some privacy without having to climb up to the RTT. Few downsides: it makes a 60 second setup into a 30+ min setup. Also, because of its size, it’s difficult to maneuver solo. It can be done, just not ideal. I found myself having to research videos to setup. Wish it was more cut and dry where to start. Perhaps with a numbering system. Overall, great purchase.

So the annex room. First off I'll say it's good. However! For what they cost why would you not have a floor to go in it ? What if it's raining really bad and you have let's say a dog or stuff in the room your trying to keep dry. It's just going to get wet from water rolling into the room under the annex. It's a very poor design. Now, there are rtt tent that come WITH annex rooms or can be optional. And not only that, some have an option to either have it attached all the time or when it gets dirty you can simply unzip, take it off, and clean it! Super simple and easy. AND they are cheaper in price. Now granite ikamper is known for quality I'd say maybe possibly they may have a better quality. But then again the only way tell is to try them out for yourself. So in my opinion if I'm going to spend $4000+ on a tent and have to purchase an annex seperater, whether you "think" you need it or not, it should be an option. It's better to have and not need than to not have and need. Of course you can always put down a tarp. But tarps get wet and messy and they are difficult to deal with vs a rubberize/ rugitized floor that can zip onto and attach to the annex itself. Anyway, I do prefer ikamper but wanted to give my feed back so people shopping for this product can have it. Again it's just my opinion, some people like it without it I suppose and that's fine. Still a great product. But just like anything else. It can be better !

Great Piece. It provided protection from the elements and a safe secure place for the doggy to sleep. Happy to have made the additional purchase.

We were thrilled at the ease of set up- even without the directions! It actually rained that first night camping and we were dry and safe

The annex was a necessary addition to my set up and has already proven itself several times. I had some issues with one of the poles bending. Customer service was great and sent me another set. Since then I have angled the poles away from vehicle with bottoms being closer to vehicle. I haven’t had any issues with poles bending setting them up this way. Aside from that I love the annex! Great out of weather area and is considerably warmer especially while cooking.

Really wish iKamper put a floor in the Annex.

The iKamper Skycamp 2.0 and Annex room far exceed our expectations. The quality of the iKamper product is durable, extremely easy to set up and comfortable.

We bought the annex and were not expecting to use it as much as we have. We’ve been doing some winter camping and got caught in a serious rain storm. The annex kept us relatively warm and very dry with a place to cook and play some cards until it passed. We have also used it as a place for additional campers to sleep. It will hold two cots with room for a table and gear. It has been a very versatile addition to the camp kit.

Have made three trips with just the Skycamp 2.0 and 1 with the annex room. So far it's been great, with two major exceptions. I'm 203cm and chose it for the large sleeping area and sturdy build, and I can lay at full length in either direction. The small openings at the floor hinge are well-covered by the tent skirt and still make a great place to run a 12v extension to the power points in my Ford Explorer. The windows and skylight are great, although the skylight zippers get very hot in a Texas summer. The annex room is so easy to put up, that I was able to figure it out for the first time at 10pm in a pitch-dark campsite. It could use some windows at the corner panels, though - it would be nice to be able to see out in inclement weather.
The two things that I'm really disappointed in: First, the mattress. I knew it was thin, but I expected "memory foam" to be denser. It's absolutely necessary to have some extra padding. Second, and related, is that it's impossible to leave extra bedding inside to offset the super-thin mattress, although I'd seen reviewers online claim to do so. Even a completely flat full-size air mattress, with the air sucked out by a pump, caused difficulty in closing the Skycamp. Just forget anything like actual extra foam. Putting extra bedding in triples the time and effort needed for setup. I mean really, would raising the hardshell a few cm be that terrible?

Great design and useful to keep bugs out.
Maybe it could add some rings or hooks for hanging lights or small accessories.

Un buen espacio para compartir con los amigos y sin mosquitos!!

We are really happy that we decided to add the Annex room to our setup. It's a great place to hang out and escape the bugs but still be surrounded by nature. It's perfect for changing and preparing meals on a rainy day too. This would especially be helpful if you had a dog that isn't able to be carried up the ladder, they can sleep in peace in the Annex Room. The set up obviously takes a little longer to set up than the Skycamp because it's more like a traditional tent, but we were really happy with the ease at which everything connects and zips together! I think it took us 10 minutes tops to set it all up. We love it!

Easy setup. Perfect for extra storage space and privacy.
Not sure what to do with my awning now.

Easy to put together. Lots of room and made very well. Just wish you guys would come up with more accessories.

I have no complaints about this annex. I actually bought this tent because of the features and size of the annex. The images don't do this item justice as far as size and material quality goes. I run my tent on a lifted tacoma on a rack that's a little higher than the cab and the walls still reach the ground. I've used it during warm and cold camping trips and all the features definitely accommodate both climates. I just wish I bought it with extra poles to be able to use the doorway awnings right away. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who buys the tent.

I love the annex room! There are a variety of features that make this so versatile. Features such as: Being able to extend the flaps to create an awning, opening one side to allow light, keeping the flaps closed to allow cots and others to sleep inside, expose the screens to keep the bugs out and air flowing, open all the screens to allow easy flow of people/pets, and much more.
When setting up the annex room, allow yourself at least another car width when setting this up. The annex room is a bit wider than your vehicle due to the addition of the poles and ropes. The annex room is great for extended camping stays. Folds easily back into the bag it came in and can be stored in the skycamp towards the back.

We purchased the Annex with our Skycamper; it is highly recommended. The Annex provides a private area for changing, storing gear and we also set up a full size cot (see picture) for me; my family slept up top so we all had plenty of room. iKamper included a larger bag to store it since it will fold up larger than the factory fold. It would be nice to have folding instructions to see how it would best fit back in the bag. The 2 main guy wires (ropes) that are included are hot pink which makes it easy to see and not trip on; I wish they had of included pink ropes for the 2 extra poles we purchased instead of the red ropes that were included but this is very minor. The annex has 2 windows to let light in since it is very dark when all the canvas is zipped up; if you want to sleep in its quite possible with this setup with all of the canvas drawn.

This thing has given us a lot of extra room and is perfect for the Arizona Monsoons. It's spacious and offers Doors, vinyl/plastic windows, bug mesh and the doors can be used as awnings. My family loves to watch the rain storms, safely from inside and we are also able to eat in here without the bugs getting us : ] Overall, a great addition for expanding your room.

Annex.
Rained both trips and this gave us extra room and still stay dry while still having a view. Added bonus of changing room and privacy for a potty. This is invaluable on really cold nights. Love it!

After picking up my new iKamper I stopped at a riverside campsite in Oregon to set up for a couple of days in early August. It was extremely hot and I wanted to create some shade and cover in case of rain. I found the Annex fairly easy to set up on my own. The design of the ground flaps skirts at the base of the Annex worked as a dual purpose, primarily to shed rain water but also to keep the mosquitoes out.
In the heat of the day the 3 large doors opened up to provide a huge shaded area with great cross ventilation and with the netting zipped down there were zero bugs getting in. I was extremely pleased with the design and ease of set up.
