As the sun's warmth begins to fade and the leaves start to change, we find ourselves at that bittersweet moment when summer gracefully fades into the background of a PNW fall. The air grows crisper, and nature's greens transition into a palette of fiery reds, oranges, and yellows, marking the start of a new, cozy season.
From our US headquarters just south of Seattle, we spent more than our fair share of time exploring the rugged terrain, cascading waterfalls, and serene lakes that grace the diverse landscape of Washington State. Nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, iKamper's office location acts as a gateway to some of the most pristine and awe-inspiring adventure spots - and we made sure to make the most of them this last summer! Join us as we take a look back at some of our favorite memories from a summer of road trips, baseball games, and outdoor adventures.
From road trips through Oregon and Idaho to backyard hikes at Snoqualmie Pass, this summer was all about getting outside and getting active. Even just a few minutes of moving your body outdoors has been shown to drastically improve both mental and physical health. Those endorphins are no joke! And luckily, we didn’t have to go at it alone: we made sure to spend as much time as possible with the adventure buddies we love the most!
Being in Washington state has its perks: the Mariners have been playing well, and we’ve had one of the warmest summers on record. Finding some time to catch a game or enjoying a long evening out on the coast is always on our list of summer must-do’s! There’s something special about seeing the sun dip down below the horizon over the Puget Sound. We’ll definitely miss the long evenings and long shadows of summer 2023.
With fall creeping up on us, we’re hoping to keep the good times rolling. Let’s keep those bike rides and early morning hikes coming as the air gets colder! We had a blast scoping out some new destinations as well as revisiting some of our favorite spots in Greenwater, Wallowa Lake, the San Juan Islands, and the Palouse to Cascades Trail.
As we step into the enchanting season of fall, we welcome it with open arms, excited for the vibrant foliage, cozy campfires, and the sense of renewal that comes with this time of year.
